Before Closing Eyes! Restaurant Chain Announces Immediate Closure of All Locations

WFCN –

A surprising restaurant chain that was started by a famous comedian has recently decided to shut down all of its outlets, just two years after opening.

Just two years after it opened, comedian Kevin Hart’s vegan fast food restaurant Hart House has formally shut down all of its stores.

In a statement provided to Eater LA, CEO Andy Hooper announced that the four locations in Southern California closed their doors for good on Tuesday.

We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated team, our customers, and our community partners for contributing to the change that we all want, and Hooper went on to say, “The response to the product has been incredible.”

“A Hartfelt goodbye for now as we start a new chapter.” The chain captioned the Instagram post, which featured the words “thank you” over a picture of a vegan chicken burger.

Inspired by Hart’s personal transition to a primarily plant-based diet in 2020, the vegan lifestyle was intended to be promoted when Hart House was opened in August 2022.

The fast food chain sold a wide range of foods, such as burgers, nuggets, and chicken sandwiches, for less than $8 each, with combo meals going for less than $15.

Located at the bustling Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue crossroads, adjacent to Chick-fil-A and In-N-Out, the flagship site debuted in May 2023.

Bringing attention to the drive-thru option that Hart House aimed to incorporate in future stores, Hooper highlighted the importance of this location.
