Arrested Man Near Republican National Convention Had AK-47 Pistol and ‘Scream’ Mask: Authorities

Additional information regarding the armed man who was apprehended on Monday in Milwaukee, near the site of the Republican National Convention, has surfaced.

The 21-year-old Donnell Tinsley was accused in a criminal complaint lodged in the Milwaukee County Circuit Court of possessing a concealed AK-47 handgun without the proper documentation, as well as a mask from the film “Scream” and several other objects.

On Monday morning, while roving the convention grounds, a special agent from Homeland Security Investigations spotted Tinsley, according to authorities, wandering approximately two blocks beyond the RNC convention’s car screening boundary.

According to the cops, he was armed with what seemed like a big rucksack, a ski mask, and black gloves.

According to police, the AK-47 pistol, also known as a “Draco,” was discovered the moment the federal agent stopped Tinsley and searched his rucksack. Tinsley voluntarily gave permission for the search. If you asked Tinsley if he had a concealed carry permit, he reportedly responded no.

Authorities also discovered a number of other items in the backpack, including a flashlight, a pair of sunglasses, a “Scream” movie mask, two sets of black gloves, a container of spray paint, and several empty designer marijuana bags.

The individual was wearing an Allied Universal Security uniform shirt. They also claimed to have discovered two cellphones in Tinsley’s pants pockets.

Federal law enforcement officials detained Tinsley after verifying that he lacked the proper documentation to carry a concealed handgun.

On Wednesday morning, Tinsley reportedly made her first appearance in court, according to court records. The details of the attorneys were not yet accessible.

The former president was targeted in an attempted assassination in Pennsylvania on Saturday, prompting increased security measures, which led to the arrest. Trump, in his role as Republican presidential contender, attended Monday’s convention.

Additionally, around one mile away from the conference center, on Tuesday, police shot and killed a man they claimed had two knives. No connection to the conference was made by the police, they added.

As of Wednesday, the Milwaukee police department said that nine individuals have been apprehended since the convention began on Monday.

Three individuals were issued citations for disruptive behavior, two were taken into custody on suspicion of possessing a concealed weapon, and other individuals were issued citations for trespassing or obstructing public spaces. An incident involving Rep. Derrick Van Orden, R-Wis., led to the Tuesday arrest of an organizer with the liberal antiwar group Code Pink.
