Following an Amazon truck crash and leak, two lanes of the southbound I-5 Freeway at Ditman Avenue in East Los Angeles are blocked. The report was made at approximately 6:30 a.m.
Packages spilled out of the delivery truck’s damaged rear end and were scattered across the freeway and side embankment.
The No. 4 and 5 lanes will be stopped for at least one additional hour, according to the California Highway Patrol East LA district.
Workers are attempting to clear the area and fix the leak after using a crane to straighten the truck. The cause of the crash and if anyone was hurt are still unknown.
Both the northbound 5 Freeway and the 710 Freeway are affected by the local traffic.
