Altadena locksmith helps Eaton Fire victims get back into their abandoned cars

A week after the Eaton Fire tore through communities and destroyed hundreds of houses, Altadena’s roads are still littered with dozens of abandoned cars. One locksmith in the area is helping folks begin their recovery by doing what he does best.

Manuel Almanza, the proprietor of Altadena Lock & Key, declared, “I feel bad, I feel so bad,” as he provided his services without charging in the wake of the disastrous fire. He’s putting his pain into action rather than letting it fester inside him.

They had no way to get back into their automobiles when thousands of people ran away, leaving their keys and cars behind. He has therefore begun installing as many new keys as he can in the hopes that the community will begin to revive.

“I’m depressed. And unless you’re here, no one around here knows or senses it,” he remarked.

Almanza is delighted to provide his services without charging a dime because he is aware that many individuals cannot now afford them.

He does more than just make vehicle keys. Almanza will change the locks and install new keys for anyone who can demonstrate that they are unable to enter a home that is lawfully theirs.
