All lanes of eastbound 105 Freeway in Willowbrook reopen after violent CHP crash

The eastbound 105 Freeway has reopened in all lanes following a serious collision that occurred in Willowbrook on Monday morning.

For several hours, Wilmington Avenue lanes were blocked while workers cleared the area. The freeway saw severe traffic delays as a result of the closures.

When the police lost control and their car fell over, two members of the California Highway Patrol were hurt. With only minor wounds, the officers were sent to the hospital.

According to the CHP, they were trying to catch up to a car when the collision occurred at 2:55 a.m. At the time of the collision, the officers weren’t chasing the car.

The number of other automobiles involved is unknown.
