2 LAPD officers injured during pursuit crash in South Los Angeles

Tuesday’s pursuit collision in South Los Angeles injured two Los Angeles Police Department officers.

Around 12:10 a.m., the LAPD reported receiving a call of an officer-involved collision close to the junction of 42nd Place and Hoover Street.

According to the LAPD, officers from the Southwest Division were involved in a traffic crash while pursuing a car. It’s unclear if their patrol car was hit by the car the police were chasing.

Due to minor injuries, two cops were taken to the hospital and kept in stable condition.

It’s unclear why the pursuit was initiated. Later, the driver of the car that the police were chasing was arrested.
