Compton man killed, two others injured in Long Beach shooting

Over the weekend, a shooting in Long Beach claimed the life of a 55-year-old Compton man and injured two more.

Around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, Long Beach police said they arrived at the scene in the 6800 block of Coachella Avenue.

Officers discovered three victims who had been shot when they arrived. Tyrant Otee Walker was recognized as the deceased. Walker passed away from his wounds even after being taken to a hospital and given medical attention.

The other two victims were taken to the hospital, where one was treated and released, while the other remained in critical but stable condition.

Police stated that they are looking into the incident as “possibly gang-related.”
