Trump team is talking with Los Angeles leaders about fire zones tour, Mayor Karen Bass says

Mayor Karen Bass and other local officials have been in contact with members of the Trump administration on a potential visit as flames continue to rage throughout Los Angeles.

She denied being concerned about hostility from President-elect Donald Trump and his team when questioned by reporters on Sunday. She acknowledged that she has communicated with a number of senior Trump campaign members.

“I accepted the invitation to visit Los Angeles extended to the next president. Bass stated, “I joined with the governor and the supervisor.” “Spoke directly with the incoming administration yesterday and it was a fine call.”

According to Bass, Trump’s team responded favorably to his potential visit, but a date has not yet been set.

California Governor Gavin Newsom invited Trump to visit California on Friday so he could see the extensive damage caused by the terrible wildfires. Following Trump’s accusation that Newsom and other LA leaders were to fault for the natural catastrophes and that their policy choices had made matters worse, this letter was sent.
