Investigation launched after body washes ashore in Manhattan Beach

A body washed up on Manhattan Beach on Sunday night, and an investigation is under progress.

The Hermosa Beach Police Department states that shortly after 7 p.m., they were called to the waterline at the 3500 block of the beach in response to reports that a deceased man had washed up on the shore.

Officers do not suspect foul play in the man’s death, however the circumstances surrounding it are yet unknown.

The man’s identity is still unknown.

While they continue their investigation, police recommend that people avoid the area.

The inquiry was being assisted by Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach police officers.
