A two-vehicle crash on a highway in the Victorville area claimed the lives of two people.
The event happened at the intersection of Bear Valley Road and US Highway 395 at around 11:16 p.m. on Saturday.
Two individuals were found and declared dead at the scene by the time first responders arrived. A fourth individual, who was identified as the driver of one of the vehicles, stayed at the site and was assisting police, while a third individual was taken to a hospital with unidentified injuries.
While investigators conducted their investigation, a section of US Highway 395 between Bear Valley Road and La Mesa Road was closed for many hours.
