Suspect in custody after shooting in Beverly Park neighborhood

After responding to allegations of a shooting in a Beverly Park neighborhood on Friday night, the Los Angeles Police Department arrested a suspect.

According to authorities, the incident occurred just before 7:20 p.m. following a conflict between a person and potential burglary suspects in the 2500 block of Summitridge Drive.

Authorities stated an armed security officer might have been involved, although the inquiry is still in its early stages.

The two suspects were identified as guys wearing ski masks and sweatshirts, but responding authorities were initially unable to find them. However, authorities verified that one suspect had been arrested at approximately 11 p.m.

The area where the LAPD thought the suspects were last seen was surrounded by a perimeter.
