According to a city official, FBI investigators searched Los Angeles Deputy Mayor Brian Williams’ residence on Tuesday as part of their investigation into a bomb threat against City Hall.
The investigation was prompted by a bomb threat that Williams allegedly made against City Hall earlier this year, according to a statement from Zach Seidl, deputy mayor of communications.
According to Seidl, Williams was put on administrative leave right away.
After looking into the threat, the Los Angeles Police Department concluded there was no “immediate danger,” according to Seidl.
