$25k reward offered for information on driver who fled from crash that left 22-year-old seriously injured

The hit-and-run driver who left a 22-year-old guy in Sylmar last week with serious injuries is still being sought by police.

The Los Angeles Police Department said that it occurred on Wednesday at approximately 9:15 p.m. After hearing of a pedestrian crash, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Sayre Street and Foothill Boulevard.

When they got there, they discovered the victim, who was still unidentified.

Investigators discovered that a gray sedan was heading north on Sayre Street through the intersection, then turned left to start heading west on Foothill Boulevard. The pedestrian was struck by them there.

Rather than halting to assist, they proceeded westward.

Anyone with information that helps identify, apprehend, and convict the suspected offender is eligible to receive a standing reward of up to $25,000. Police have released a picture of the suspect’s car from surveillance footage they gathered during their investigation in the hopes of finding the driver.

Detectives are asking anyone with additional information to call them at (818) 644-8036.
