Sheriff’s deputy shoots person allegedly trespassing near Metrolink tracks in Redlands

A San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy and an individual who was allegedly trespassing close to Metrolink rails at Nevada Street in Redlands were shown on cell phone footage on Monday morning.

According to the video, the person holds out their arms and rushes toward the officer as the shooting takes place after the deputy points a gun at them.

Around 7:30 in the morning, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to a trespassing individual at Nevada Street Metrolink, where “a lethal force encounter occurred.” The deputy was unharmed, and the patient was sent to a hospital for medical attention.
