Other changes in October for some SNAP recipients
Food Stamps will be changing in October, and it is not just about payment amounts. The rules for those aged 18-52 will also be for those aged 53 and 54. This rule has to do with the time limit and Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWD).
Those Americans on SNAP benefits aged 18-54, previously 18-52, will have to work for a minimum of 80 hours per month to get SNAP benefits for over 3 months in 3 years.
