People say it frequently. Texas is where it’s at. I agree. I can think of a lot of things that are the size of Texas. From the Texas A&M University football stadium to the Houston Astrodome. Everything in Texas is massive.
Regrettably, it also implies criminal activity.
I have evidence that proves Texas is the site of some of the worst crimes in history. There should be no room for doubt after reading what is about to be written. Allow me to take you on a tour of a few of these atrocities. The stories that follow are frightening and graphic. You should proceed with caution.

Murdered and Tortured Devontae Williams
The horrible murder of Devontae Williams was committed by Lisa Colman in Tarrant County, and she was found guilty. Rescue workers discovered a nine-year-old boy’s lifeless body covered in just his diaper and bandages when they reached the scene of the crime.
A pediatrician found almost 200 wounds on a body that was underweight—36 pounds, or half the recommended weight for a youngster his age. That weapon? Two clubs for golf. Malnutrition and pneumonia were determined to be the causes of mortality.
Shots Fired in the Luby’s Cafeteria
On this day in 1991, October was marked. At Killeen, Texas’s Luby’s cafeteria, George Hennard smashed his car through the front window.
He then opened fire, hurting over thirty others and killed twenty-three. This massacre took place in Texas, and it is the fourth deadliest mass shooting in US history that did not include schools.
Gun Violence at a Sutherland Springs Church
An unforgettable day for many. Devin Patrick Kelly, a 26-year-old resident of Sutherland Springs, Texas, began shooting at a tiny church on November 25, 2017.
Twenty lives, including that of an unborn child, were tragically lost as a result of this heinous act. Kelly was discovered dead in his automobile after a brutal police chase. He had shot himself.
Arrest Filed Against Cirilo Castillo Jr. for Assaulting Horses
After this man was kicked by a horse in 2015, investigators discovered his injuries. It all started when he attempted to mount the animal.
Additionally, the horse was discovered to be engaged in oral and vaginal sex while tied up in the corral. A similar arrest had been made against Castillo many years before. He faced charges related to animal abuse.
Battle of Waco
The United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms laid siege to Mount Carmel because the Branch Davidians were known to have violated federal firearm laws.
A truce was negotiated after a gunfight broke out between the religious group and law officials; nevertheless, four ATF agents and six Branch Davidians were killed in the process.

Candy Man (Dean Corll)
This guy is terrible. His family’s confectionery business is where he got his nickname. He preyed on young men, luring them to his home to subject them to brutal assault and sexual assault. Days may pass before he would take action, either by shooting or strangling his victims.
Mass graves would be used to dispose of the corpses. Finally, to really turn the screw on the police, he had the lads write letters justifying their disappearance. Killing twenty-eight juvenile boys, he was found guilty.
Amber Hangerman’s Kidnapping and Death
The tragic tale served as inspiration for the Amber Alert System. The Arlington, Texas, house of Amber Hangerman was the target of an abduction in 1996. Just walking around the block was all she accomplished while riding her bike.
After what seemed like an eternity, Amber had vanished. She was found naked but for one sock and had a slit across her throat when her corpse was exhumed from a creek. Her assassin remains at large.
The Killer of Texas Eyeballs
Charles Albright, alias the Eyeball Killer, was born in Amarillo, Texas. He was convicted in 1991 and is currently serving time at the John Montford Unit in Lubbock. This story is just as horrific, even though the only charge was murder.
All of the women he attacked had their eyes removed. Albright was skilled with a knife and worked as a taxidermist. He was 87 years old when he passed away. A synopsis of the plot is available in the video up top.
Misguided Andrea Yates Kills Her Five Children by Drowning Them. In 2001, Andrea Yates drowned five children, ranging in age from six months to seven years. After her conviction on the grounds of insanity, she was confined to a mental institution in Kerrville, Texas.
