Update: Two Additional Teens Charged in 64-Year-Old’s Fatal Beating

THE WASHINGTON –

In relation to the murder of 64-year-old Reggie Brown, the Metropolitan Police Department has announced the arrest of two more teenagers.

Girls from Northwest D.C., ages 13 and 15, were apprehended by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force on Thursday. Following their transfer, they were indicted with second-degree murder by the Homicide Branch.

Brown, who had injuries suggestive of an attack, was discovered in the 6200 block of Georgia Avenue NW on October 17 at approximately 1 a.m. Death was reported at the site, according to the police.

Following an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the cause of death was identified as blunt force trauma, indicating a homicide.

Accused of murdering 64-year-old Reggie Brown in October 2023, a girl of 12 years old and two females of 13 years old are currently incarcerated.

It all started with the arrest of three minors in relation to Brown’s killing.

An arrest and second-degree murder accusation was filed against a 13-year-old girl from Northwest D.C. in March. Additional juveniles from Northwest D.C., one girl aged 12 and another 13 years old, were apprehended and indicted for second-degree murder the day after.

They have not uncovered anything yet.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered by the Metropolitan Police Department for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators of this death.
