Recalling a string of closures in the neighborhood fifteen years ago, a third diner asserted that the chain’s fortunes had been declining for the previous decade.

Not all customers were shocked by the announcement; some even said the chain’s food tasted like paint and rubber.

The closure of the Chicago Arby’s was a disappointment to many.

“This is unfortunate. “I’ve loved this fast food joint ever since I was a little kid,” one customer remarked.

“It’s great that they keep each other occupied; Arby’s roast beef is delicious,” someone else remarked.

The number of Arby’s restaurants in the United States is 3,413 according to ScrapeHero.

Franchisee Miracle Restaurant Group, owner of the shuttered Chicago Arby’s, reportedly filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on June 20 (as reported by Yahoo Finance).

In the midst of their bankruptcy, the franchisee—who has 25 Arby’s restaurants in five states (Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas)—may sell off a number of their stores.
