Survey: Liccardo Campaign Reports Ongoing Double-Digit Lead Over Low in New Poll

The Sam Liccardo congressional campaign engaged a polling company, and today they released the findings of a fresh survey that puts the former mayor of San Jose ahead of Assemblyman Evan Low, the opponent serving the 16th Congressional District, by more than 11%.

The latest findings from the Lake Research Partners survey were consistent with those of an earlier survey that gave Liccardo a lead of more than 10%.

With Liccardo announcing that over $1.6 million was raised in the second quarter, a new poll follows.

According to the poll, Liccardo leads Low by over 11% with 39% of the vote, while Low is in second place with 28% of probable voters in the highly competitive congressional district in Silicon Valley. According to the survey, 29% of potential voters are still unsure.

The survey, which took place from June 24 to 27, revealed that Liccardo was ahead of Low in every area of the district, in all significant demographic categories across the ideological spectrum, and with a sizable lead across party lines.

“This fresh information validates the feedback our campaign has been receiving at the door,” stated campaign spokesperson Gil Rubinstein.

“Electors are desperate for a self-sufficient leader who produces outcomes. The people who cast ballots in California’s 16th congressional district believe that Sam Liccardo is that leader. In this campaign, he is the front-runner.”

Six hundred prospective voters in California’s 16th Congressional District participated in the poll.
