Deputies Confirm! Primary Suspect in 23-Year-Old Missing Person Case Identified as Woman’s Boyfriend

Marysville, Ohio (WCMH) –

A woman who has been missing since 2001 is the subject of an ongoing public appeal by Central Ohio Crime Stoppers and the Columbus police department.

Since leaving the Marysville location of the Honda of America Manufacturing facility on June 29, 2001, Patricia (Patti) Adkins has been presumed missing for the past 23 years. At the conclusion of the second shift, Adkins was last saw departing.

The NBC News reports that Adkins and her boyfriend had plans to travel to Canada. Her sister reported Adkins missing on July 8 after she failed to return to collect her daughter.

Everyone, including Adkins’ daughter and relatives, has not heard from her since she vanished, and there is no movement in her bank and personal records, according to Crime Stoppers.

According to NBC News, Adkins’ boyfriend has been questioned by the authorities regarding her abduction; he has vehemently denied any involvement. Although minimal evidence has been related to him, the boyfriend remains the top suspect, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Crime Stoppers, the courts have ruled that Adkins is legally dead at the age of 29, raising suspicions of foul play. At this point in time, she would have been 52 years old, and the Union County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating all possible leads.

Anyone with information that could lead to the discovery of Adkins was offered a $25,000 reward by Crime Stoppers in 2022. Crime Stoppers asks that anybody with information regarding this crime contact them at 614-461-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online at www.stopcrime.org.
