Authorities said that a collision along Highway 126 in Fillmore on Tuesday claimed two lives and injured at least three more.
The California roadway Patrol reports that at approximately 2:20 p.m., two automobiles collided head-on on a section of the roadway close to Fairview Canyon Road. According to CHP, at least three injured individuals were receiving treatment from paramedics.
According to CHP, one lane was reopened at 3:26 p.m. after the freeway was closed in both directions. After some traffic delays in the region, CHP reported just before 8 p.m. that all highway lanes had been reopened.
Authorities have not disclosed any more information.
