1 person found dead on northbound 5 Freeway in Los Angeles

On Thursday morning, a body was discovered on the northbound 5 Freeway in Los Angeles.

Around 1:56 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported receiving reports of a body on the northbound 5 Freeway at Broadway. The incident is being looked into as a potential hit-and-run accident.

While police were on the scene, a Sig Alert was in effect for a number of hours.
