1 person dead, 3 transported to hospital after violent South Los Angeles crash

A severe multi-vehicle incident in South Los Angeles on Wednesday morning claimed one life and sent three others to the hospital.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a three-vehicle collision occurred at 250 W 53rd Street at approximately 1:53 a.m.

At the site, one person was declared deceased. According to the LAPD, eight people were involved in the collision.

One of the people was taken in critical condition after having to be pulled out of a car.

The cause of the collision is currently being looked into by the LAPD.
